What are apostille and translation services in Ecuador? +
These services involve translating official documents from one language to another and ensuring they are legally recognized through notarization and, if necessary, the Apostille (Hague Convention legalization). This is required for documents to be valid before the Ecuadorian State or foreign governments.
Why do I need a notarized translation? +
According to Article 24 of the Modernization Law, documents in a foreign language must be translated by an interpreter whose signature is authenticated by a Notary, Consul, or Civil Judge to be accepted by public administration entities in Ecuador.
How long does the translation process take? +
Standard delivery is usually 24-48 hours depending on document length. However, notarization and apostille and translation services in Ecuador may add 1-2 business days due to external notary schedules.
Can you apostille foreign documents? +
No, we only provide Apostille services for documents issued by Ecuadorian authorities. Foreign documents must be apostilled in their country of origin before being translated here.
